Welcome to "My Garden Creations"

I create all of my art pieces using recycled metal that I find.  Because each piece is created individually with unique pieces of recycled materials, most of my art cannot be recreated. In the past year I have added my original pieces of fused glass to many of my pieces.  The combination of metal and glass is exquisite.

If you are interested in a particular piece, I can be contacted using the CONTACT tab.  I also create custom pieces, if you have a specific size requirement or idea, I would be happy to talk to you about it.  I deliver in the Calgary, Alberta area for small fee and can make arrangements to ship beyond this region.

Enjoy a stroll through my online gallery.  Imagine the possibilities for your garden.

What is it?  What could it be?

As I mill through heaps of discarded, dirty metal I look at what is essentially trash and try to see potential beauty.  I see shapes, textures and color that most eyes would dismiss as large pile of rubble.  I see beauty in the combination of these textures.

My unique metal pieces are all hand made, cut, welded, polished, and sprayed individually by me and sometimes with the help of a friend.  They take hours to complete.  I like to explore pattern, movement and color in my work.  Many of the creations are one of a kind as I will never find exactly the same piece of discarded metal again. While I intend for most of my pieces to be placed in gardens, I know that numerous creations never find their way outside, as my clients find a special spot for them indoors.

I draw inspiration in knowing that something ugly has been transformed into a piece of beauty and one less item is added to the junk pile.  My pieces are especially beautiful in a lush green garden, but I take pleasure in knowing that on a cold winter day, one can look out the window at one of my creations and get a smile on their face, seeing a bit of beauty peeking out of the snow.

My metal garden creations add beauty and fun to the natural canvas of life that surrounds us.

Biography ~ Tina, Artisan

I started creating metal art because I was unable to find original unique pieces that complimented my garden.  This provided me with an opportunity to continue my life-long interest in arts media with classes and various workshops in metal welding, construction & plasma cutting.

I work with steel, stainless steel, brass, copper and aluminum.  I create trellises, wind chimes, small animals, bird baths, wall hangings, garden stakes and whimsical sculptures.   I have completed numerous special projects including gates, furniture and wall sculptures.  I am based in Calgary, Alberta Canada. Today, I have a loyal following of avid gardeners throughout Canada, the United States and in Europe who eagerly display my work in their beautiful gardens.
